Teeth whitening is one of the simplest ways to improve your appearance.
FACELAB's founding partners are both dental surgeons. Our team of handpicked consultants are ideally equipped to assess the colour and shade of your teeth and determine what type of cosmetic dental treatment is best for you. We perform a thorough evaluation of your teeth and smile and make recommendations based on providing safe, efficient and effective treatment, without risking damage to your teeth or gums. With a full range of professional strength teeth whitening products available, for use 'in house' or at home, it’s never been easier to get a brighter smile.
Yes, over bleaching teeth can cause them to become 'chalky', weak, and more susceptible to decay and to chip. We recommend a maximum of one 'in house' tooth whitening treatment every 3-4 months and no more than two consecutive weeks of at-home bleaching per month. Teeth that are over bleached can also become painful and sensitive, possibly resulting in tooth nerve damage.
A 'Picasso' veneer other than by name are no different to any other porcelain veneer. It is essential to assess each patient's suitability for veneers as they can not be used in every situation. Two treatment appointments are necessary. Teeth are carefully prepared, scanned and temporised during the first appointment. At the second appointment, the veneers are 'tried in'. If both the clinician and patient are happy with the appearance and feel of the veneers, they can be cemented in place.
DENTAL CERAMIC VENEERS
Veneers are very thin laminates generally custom made in a laboratory fitted on individually prepared teeth. They are used to improve the appearance of teeth, correcting colour, shape, size, and sometimes position. Teeth are prepared at one of Facelab's branch locations to a predetermined, and computer-generated design that takes into account facial features, skin tone, eye colour etc. Once the plan is approved, the veneers are manufactured and cemented onto the prepared tooth surface in a separate appointment.
CHEMICAL TOOTH WHITENING
Tooth Bleaching has been around for years, however more recently, unscupolous businesses, including online traders, have been offering substandard and potentially dangerous treatments. Bleaching teeth that are unhealthy have decay or cavities, and unhealthy gums can all be damaged further by the bleaching chemicals. Anyone contemplating having their teeth bleached must attend a dentist first.
Facelab's aesthetic consultants have backgrounds in dentistry so they can identify suitable candidates for tooth whitening. At Facelab, our medical-grade lasers can be used to enhance the effect of the bleaching materials applied to the tooth surface during treatment for a 'boosted' result. Alternatively, clear plastic bleaching retainers can be fabricated on tooth models. A home bleaching product is then supplied with these retainers and worn in the mouth for 30 minutes per day when convenient.
