How is Platelet Rich Fibrin Made?

PRF is made through a process called centrifugation where a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and placed in a test tube. The test tube is then placed in a centrifuge which spins the blood at a high speed. This process separates the blood into different layers based on density; the layer at the top of the tube, which contains the highest concentration of platelets is known as the PRF layer.
